Douar Noujoum is a peaceful oasis near Essaouira, Morocco’s bohemian coastal haven. Set just 7 km from expansive sandy beaches and 15 km from the historic walled Medina. Choosing Douar Noujoum retreat is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and return to what truly matters. The space offers a deeply calming atmosphere—one that can be felt from the very moment you arrive. Whether you come to deepen your yoga practice, reset your nervous system, or simply breathe more fully, time spent here has a way of lingering long after you leave.

  • Two traditional Yoga classes morning and evening (except travel days)in the light and airy Yoga Shala with wooden floors and a terrace with views of the garden.

    Pranayama practices and Meditation or Yoga Nidra each day.

    Yoga mats, cushion available.

    Plenty of free time to relax or explore.

  • A range of bedrooms are available. They all have en-suite bathrooms curtained off from the main bedroom. Single or double to share, some with terrace. all rooms have comfortable beds and colourful furnishings.

    Nezha, the chef, warmly welcomes you. Meals are prepared with care using fresh, wholesome ingredients, most often —natural or organic—offering vibrant, nourishing food that supports wellbeing.

    Inspired by the rich and generous traditions of Moroccan cuisine, the menu is full of colour and aroma: fragrant tagines, couscous, fresh vegetable and fruit salads, and homemade pastries. Or we offer delicious and creative vegetarian dishes, ensuring every guest enjoys food that is both satisfying and deeply nourishing.

  • During your stay, there is ample time to simply relax—rest by the natural pool, wander through peaceful gardens, or soak in the quiet rhythm of nature.

    One guided group excursion to Essaouira is included in your retreat, offering a vibrant contrast to retreat life.

    Extra excursions can be organise for small fee as a visit a Berber village and Souk Had Dara or go on a cooking workshop.

    For nature lovers, the surrounding landscape invites exploration. Long, sweeping sandy beaches can be discovered on foot, or you may choose to organise a camel ride along the coast—an unforgettable way to experience the raw beauty of Morocco.

    A must-do guided walk: the Sidi en Bark waterfalls. Hiking enthusiasts set off from Sidi Kaouki for a 6 km walk along the ocean, leading to this wild, wind-sheltered beach where fresh-water cascades flow directly into the sea.
